Well yeah, that's pretty stupid, and I think the reason for this is simply that the premise of the game doesn't sound as good on paper as the game really is. Basically, you start as a freelance mercenary who has just lost his memory in a cyberpunk-like world. Many people you used to know to were closely connected to a large-scale disaster in the past, which sets stage to a story of much intrigue, action and sometimes impossible-to-believe plot twists.
