it always fascinated me how pop'n doesn't have a freaking offset. Why in the fuck doesn't it have one? Because konami doesn't want casual normalfags to fuck up the timing by cranking up the offset by mistake? at the arcades near me it seems many more kids are playing iidx than ever. the elder regulars seem to have dropped off but surprisingly there's alot of newcomers. when a few years ago it was almost none and there were crowds of kids day and night for sdvx. now theres not many people playing sdvx at all. maybe they're waiting for the new version but between versions before, kids would still come to grind the old version. wacca and groove coaster seem to be doing better with kids than sdvx from what i can see. of course, the most are playing the dancing games than anything else.

I wish i could just start and play iidx like i did with osu. Thats part of what kept me practicing osu, cause it was just really easy to sneak in some short practice for fun, and it would sometimes automatically turn into long sessions.
My home setup is a bit slow to setup, so i need to be in the mood for a longer session from the get-go, which is much less often.
Hows your guys home setups like?

I came from pop'n 14, which I played with minicon on the PS2 about 10 years ago, to picking it back up in July 2020 with YumeNeko and Peace, and I was wondering why I was finding it more difficult to break 95K, even on songs I was seemingly shitting on.

I used to count 98K on pop'n Fever as me being good at the song, but now it's shifted down to 92-94K.

So when a networked game stops receiving e-amusement support and isn't directly upgraded to the newest version for awhile (say iidx 27 just receiving support awhile ago), do the songs that were locked behind events just suddenly become all available to play? Lords Of The Roundtable would probably be one of my favourite songs in the series if the preview part were longer, that cool ass drop at the end lasts like 15 seconds, kinda disappointing
Eroica has one of the wackiest charts in the game, streams of HCN were something I'd never seen before, sightreading the hyper chart was really fun
also camellia's remix of the gabriel dropout OP was a nice memetier addition
