Actually, yeah, the characters are a bit lame in UFO. Byakuren, for example, has the weakest impact as a villain on the player. Think about it, you had a vampire, a ghost, a Lunarian princess, a fucking goddess of the sky and a hell raven. Now think about their powers too. Manipulation of fate, invoking death at will, manipulation of eternity, GODDESS OF THE FUCKING SKY, and nuclear reactor with legs.
And now, what? A ....witch that uses....black magic?
I'm sorry, but that's fucking lame.

But I love the cast of UFO far more than that in SA or MoF. Ichirin is Serious Moe to accompany Youmu, CAPTAIN MINAMITSU MURASA needs no introduction, Shou is very Ran-like but a tiger and with lasers, and Byakuren... Byakuren is just plain awesome period.

You can count on that because she can't destroy shit, much less that UFO you just summoned behind the swarms of popcorn enemies. This being said she does do fine on boss fights except for Nue and makes a world of difference against Shou's third spell.

Marisa A is also a good candidate. Her shots may not cover the entire screen but the penetrating lasers help immensely, especially when gunning down that UFO.

How long do you have to death bomb in UFO?

Because I'm seriously sucking at it and tend to lose about 8-10 bombs per run due to deaths before bombing.

I'm so frustrated at how easy it is to get lives and bombs and yet I just waste them.

I also hat anchor-tan for being invincible at the end and spam my screen with bullets. I can't survive that without 2 bombs.
