It would not completely incorrect to say "teh-wee". However, the "w" is accented out of existence. (Sort of like how the grammatical particle "wo" is typically accented to sound like "oh".) So it becomes "teh-ii". However, unless someone is speaking slowly and enunciating very carefully, the two syllables run together and it becomes "tay".
