I have read other titles. But I would say that N+'s writing simply overall better which portrays the characters more letting you know them better.
In TM's works you "have" to read between the lines if you wan't to know the more than what shows at first glance.
I would say that they have roughly the same level of protagonists while the overall work of N+ is better which makes their protagonists look better.
N+ is awesome and it sure is good that they were the ones who got to write F/Z.
