Recently I'm not sure if I should love Rika due to Bernkatsel. Are they the same damn person or not? I just wanna love Rika, but I can't accept it if it turns she was nothing more then a cold-hearted bitch who fakes her cute personality

Bern's personality replaces the personality of the Rika of that kakera. When Rika dies, her mind is added back to the master "Bernkastel" personality, and the cycle repeats. At the end of Rei, the Rika of that kakera finally rejects Bern, and so they become separate beings, and the final Rika's mind will never join Bern's
