That's common with any fighter. The best start is to watch matches of high-level players.

Obviously, that's pretty easy with popular games where people record matches, but for a doujin fighter like this, you could always try to find somebody who plays your character, fight against them, and take note of what they do.

Observation lets you wrap your head around the meta-game. Once you have a visual idea of how it's played, then you can work on getting there yourself.

>> No.3147607

You know, I don't even play online much, and this upsets me. Why is it that people think that just because they (relatively) suck, that they have any right to ridicule the people that are actually good (relatively).

Let me tell you all a story. A couple years back I worked at a call center. In the break room, we had an xbox set up with an arcade emulator. Every single day, a guy would come in with two sega saturn controls, hook em up, and play SF Alpha 3 with anyone that had the balls to challenge him.

Every day for 2 months, I would play with this crowd of fighting gods. I would win one round in maybe a week. I got frustrated, even angry at times, but I never once complained about them. You know why? Its not their fault I sucked.

Eventually, it got to the point that I was grabbing people out of raging demons, invincible framing through supers, and winning at least half the time to these "gods". And the sad thing is that not one of those players would have lasted long in a tournament.

Like everything else in life, you get better at something only when you are challenged. And for me, and many others, there is no fun in a fighting game unless there is at least a 50+% chance you are going to lose. The worse odds there are, the better.

tl;dr: The so-called "tourneyfags" are just playing for fun. How about you stop your bitching for 5 minutes and try to have some fun with them. Maybe you'll learn something.

Also: Utosho isn't overpowered, and she isn't underpowered. She's pretty middle of the road. [b]just like everyone else in the fucking game[/i]
