The Captain was the only new character who I immediately liked. The stage 5 character whose name I don't remember is boring, and I was too angry at Byakuren for not being Mima or Yumemi (even though I expected it) to start liking her just yet.
Haven't gotten to Nue yet, so I can't really judge her atm.

There's a bit of a trick to it that really just comes don to proper timing. Kind of like Icicle Fall.
I figured it out during the demo days, but there are still some times where I mess up and have to bomb my ay through.
SA is still the most difficult Windos game however. No game that hands out extra lives like this one can be considered the most difficult.

Collect 3 of a kind or one of each color and a giant one appears.
Destroy that for a bonus, or wait until it absorbs all the red/blue blocks on screen and then destroy it for an extra bonus.

Red UFOs kinda break the game a little, since for beating a fully charged giant one you get 2/3s of an extra life, and you can normally get 3 or 4 giant UFOs to appear per level if you know what you're doing.

Minamitsu: Might be Chiyuri's spiritual successor, but a spirit who can cause shipwrecks? Sounds a bit more like either a siren or a plain old water spirit. But the design's okay. I just wish she had shorts like Chiyuri...
Shou: So, Shou is actually a girl. A very boyish girl. It seems we have a new Wriggle. Seriously, I couldn't tell if she was a girl or not.
Byakuren: Oh, another magician? We haven't had another appear in a long time since Alice of TH7, so this is good. I suppose.
Nue: Nue's ability SUCKS, flat-out. ZUN probably drank some baaaad liquor for this girl to pop out. But if her "true form" is insanity-causing ugly... I could see why.

Overall... the cast from Bosses 4-Extra are OK. Nothing amazing, aside from Byakuren.
