you can chart the public opinion of her changing after her idol career crashed and burned, from sympathy to annoyance to outright malice, driven mostly by her depressive behavior on social media, multiple attempts to restart her idol career, rumors from her harassment campaign aging into public "knowledge" and, well, the usual reasons kiara rubs people the wrong way
i haven't seen any compelling evidence of the 30k yen thing being true, but that is a far, far more recent accusation than anything else. i am personally leaning towards bullshit.

Let's not forget 'you die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain'. Kiara is now entering the 'hero' portion of her story, and she spent a long time struggling and scrounging trying to become 'a hero'. That's noble in itself. Will she become a villain later? Who knows, but for now, she may or may not have been leeching, but she was doing her best given that she has no talent and doing your best for that long makes you deserve some degree of success.

Will she live long enough to see herself become the villain, or cut her losses, or will climate change destroy japan before that happens? We will just have to see. I don't have to be a KFP fan for the rest of my life. I could start hating her tomorrow, if given a good reason, but I'm not gonna bash her pre-emptively based on what I think she's like behind the mask. Money corrupts, but not immediately, she's not there yet.
