"Reading American comics has not been easy. I have learned many things, but I still have a long way to go before I can call myself a comic geek. I have noticed huge differences between comics and manga that were difficult to accept. For example, Spider-man takes place in modern day New York, right? And he got his powers when he was 15 years old in 1962, right? That means Spider-man should be about 60 years-old, but the comics say he is in his late 20's. If I have to accept this, then I have to also accept that time doesn't mean anything to the Spider-man universe. And without time, there is no growth. So to keep Spider-man fresh, then it means the writers have to constantly "restart" his stories every few years. This happens in alot of American superhero comics I guess."

So far, I've read "Y The Last Man," and "Walking Dead." Both comics were good, but the zombie story was much easier to read. I read "Daredevil: The Man Without Fear" by Frank Miller and it was excellent! I am now trying to get into the 80's "West Coast Avengers," because it was recommended as a very gossipy-type of superhero story. I am also looking at the Marvel Universe "Handbook" so I can get to know some Marvel heroes (and I'm watching Justice League Unlimited to study DC heroes).

Okay, so why am I trying so hard to get into American comics? Because I was invited to attend Wizard World Chicago 2009 as a member of the press! I am excited, but I am also nervous. Three years ago, I went to the convention by myself and it was too overwhelming. I left after a couple of hours. Then last year I went with some friends and it was fun, but still too overwhelming. I felt that I really needed to get into and understand comics so I can feel the flow of the comic community at the convention~! And this year will be super-special because there will be a mini-anime convention there too!

So I would like to let you guys know that I will be at Wizard World Chicago 2009 for all three days. I will be walking around interviewing people and hopefully collecting great material for Kiss-Sui!

It's not like some of the eastern superheroes aren't overpowered. Especially mecha... Getter Emperor, Demonbane, TTGL, that one mecha that can change the past. People too - Ryogi, erasing you the fuck out of reality. Etc...
Honestly, the worlds should be pretty damn evenly matched.

In terms of power levels comics win. Not only do they have more multiversal level threats they also have more universal level threats as well as dimensional warpers and sky fathers (Think a shitton of people like Dark Schneider).

I had a "What if" comic I when I was a kid. In an alternative reality Flash lost his legs and he could only move his torso in lightspeed. It was hilarious.

If time was completely stopped aside from for the stand user, then they wouldn't be able to interact with anything else for the most part - or even if they did it wouldn't do anything from it. The law of cause and effect wouldn't exist. But somehow momentum and such still exists when they 'stop' time, meaning it can't be completely stopped.
