Yep. Aside from the juice and texture differences, apple's taste just like potatoes.

Most of my enjoyment in food comes from it either being very strongly flavored (i.e.: spicy), or having good textures, like baked potatoes.

I'm the same in not being able to taste and smell. Anything that has a strong flavor (Sweet sour bitter and salty) are the types of foods I prefer.

Also, I can eat an onion without crying.

Eating one direct will rarely make you cry unless you can't handle strong flavors. Speaking of, can you recommend a food type with strong flavor and interesting textures? Curry is currently the top of my list (Indian or Japanese, doesn't matter; both have their own pros and cons), though I'll also eat anything with a potato in it.

I found some strong tasting almond breaded shrimp mixed with a sort of honey tasting sauce. I have no idea what it was called.

If you REALLY wanna live dangerously, pickles and pepper juice will leave a prickly taste with only the brine being noticable.

If you put vinegar on your salads then you will have a strong acidic tasting food. Though it takes some getting used to.

I tend to avoid coffee though but the last time I did was pumpkin spiced coffee.

vinegar and sour cream work wonders on potatoes by the way, it's one of my more favored snacks (Well the chip version I should say) But I noticed That cream cheese kind of has a favorable texture to it when combined with the right foods and makes it go from being tasteless drivel to something tolerable.

BBQ sauce (Smoked) has a great effect on porkchops and if said 'chops are still soft enough, can really seep right into there and leave one heck of a taste.

Mint flavoring has a way of really enhancing chicken cordon blue as well. you have to use just the right amount and they have to be the leaves mixed with a small amount of melted butter.

I cannot each ice cream (Though those astronaut dehydrated ice cream bars have a light sweet taste that I can stand) due to being lactose intolerant .

Other than that, if you can stand cinnamon I would recommend trying some recipes with that.

I am actually allergic to red peppers and up (Green peppers....not really...def not black pepper) so I do not do spicy at all. Wasabi if mixed and added right (Its in the same family of taste as horse radish....I don't know much about it T.B.H.)

Thats about all I can suggest. Hope these ideas help. The name of the almond shrimp deal eludes me but Gumbo and calabash chicken might suit your taste if you can handle them (I couldn't lol)
