the sage can't move like that. it's a 2x2 movement, think a horse in chess with an added horizontal movement.
Oh and it can't cross the middle ground.

haha sage is an actual piece

Since when does /jp/ know how to play chinese chess?

It would make more sense if it was go or something.

Blame chinese weeaboos.
There's a surprisingly large number of them. Just look at how there's a chinese patch for F/HA already (it's been out for like half a year) and we're still waiting on BL.

Same like english chess.
Only difference is, the bishop cant cross the river.
Cannon can jump through one piece and eat the other piece. Pawn can move horizontal after they cross the river.

You guys should stop playing all these garbage games in the inbred chess family and play a real game that doesn't restrict you to moving certain pieces in certain ways. Pic's related.

Can a chink even be a weeaboo? I thought that term only applied to whites since it came from "wapanese".

>> No.3082239

>>3082157
Obviously not.
It is normal for chinese to read manga or watch anime.
Doraemon and Dragonball was huge during the 80s and 90s. I watch cantonese dub of both of them when I was young.

Weeaboo comes from the old wordfilter that turned "wapanese" into "weeaboo".

>> No.3082335

That's where the word was picked up from, but it was popularized when it was used here as a wordfilter for "wapanese".

yes that's obviously where moot got it from, but years ago in /a/ the word "wapanese" was wordfiltered to "weeaboo" and it's stuck even when the word filter was lifted.

I can play Chinese Chess poorly (Western Chess player primarily). But I have no idea how the notation system works for this game.

Go and Western Chess are probably the only two boardgames you could really get going on /jp/ (there were Go-playing threads in the past, but Western Chess technically doesn't belong on /jp/).
