I happen to like Yoshiyuki Sadamoto's work a lot.

I'm a big Leaf fan, so of course I'm partial to their main artists - Misato Mitsumi, Nakamura Takeshi, etc. Although I'm also quite fond of Naru Nanao (ef, Da Capo, etc.), Bekkankou (August's artist), and Kiriyama Taichi (Sexfriend, Maid in Heaven, etc.). And since I am also a lolicon there will always be a place on my bookshelf for the doujin circle Chokudoukan.

For non-ero works, my favorites include Aoki Ume (Hidamari Sketch), Araki Kanou (Otoboku, also did some really cute Hayate no Gotoku ero doujin), and Kozue Amano (Aria).
