If you start out with an acoustic I would assume your hands would get stronger faster doing bends/hammer-on/pull offs/slides. They are a lot harder to do on an acoustic, even with medium gauge strings. Though I wouldn't do bends with an acoustic, I would just do a slide instead. Then the transition from acoustic to electric would be much easier.

I remember getting my first acoustic after having an electric first. It had heavy gauge strings and my hand would cramp often. Not to mention my finger tips were tore up pretty nicely even with calluses.

But yeah, just

If you're playing classical you should really go buy one. Unless you just don't have the money too. I started with electric but when I started to get into more classical pieces I bought the $100 acoustic.

>>3058125
Classical guitars are acoustic, technically you just refer to them being nylon or steel stringed. Of course you can't put nylon strings on a guitar made for steel ones and vice versa.

As for what to start with its really what you want to play. You could buy an electric or steel stringed acoustic and still play classical like >>3057707. The only difference is the sound.

But for beginners a classical guitar might be better because nylon strings don't hurt your fingers like steel ones do. Anyone I've tried to teach guitar to say that the hardest thing is getting used to pushing down on the strings.

Nice playing. Upright piano?

Huh, the first song sounds really familiar. Some anon made an arrangement of it before and named it "Artiface".

Haha, thanks I guess. Yeah, it's shitty old Wurlitzer that haven't been tuned for years. As for the title, I just picked off the english part from this site: http://www.geocities.co.jp/MusicStar-Piano/4725/AIR/index.html

It might be just be a subtitle though, as the Japanese part translates to Figment or Fabrication.

Or not...

Oh, guess that's right. The guy titled it Artiface (fabrication), but I thought the parenthesis part was secondary.

The piano sounds OK. Similar to the upright I had before it messed up. Though now I play a digital piano with weighted keys, it doesn't match up to the feel of a "real" piano.

I'll give it a try. With enough splicing and sound editing, anything is possible!

I don't even know where the sheet is.

Yeah, that's how it is. I've played on some higher end Clavinovas and even then it was somewhat lacking at times - though to me it's less the feel and more limited the dynamic range (only 128 levels).

Moon, from Umineko, would be awesome to learn in piano.

Funny how none of them are actually piano songs in the original songs.

This is the first good thread I've seen on /jp/ in a while.

I just started playing guitar again for the first time in years.

When I noticed the /b/ raid this morning, I tried to save this thread.

But then I realized it had already died.

There should be another this night, I've found some good material to share.
