Why I am the bone of my sword?

Why would a sword have a bone in the first place?

This is what two complete morons and one guy's dog would like everyone to believe, as they are the only ones that repost this shit.

And they're obviously from /b/.

Yes. A bone spear would make sense but not a sword.

To be fair, bone was one of the first substances used in artistic stylization of hilts.

If you think about it that way, it flows better, in a strange way.

"I am the hilt of my sword."

What I actually wonder about, is why Nasu had the runes for UBW and instead of translating them for Archer's chant, made an extra different original English chant.
It doesn't sound as weird, for sure.

'My body is made of swords.
Iron is my blood, and glass is my heart.
I have overcome countless battlefields undefeated,
Without once retreating,
Nor once being understood.
Always alone, intoxicated with victory on the hill of swords.
Therefore, there is no meaning to that life.
This body is probably itself a sword.'

That and it's poetic imagery, albeit crude.

He's implying that he is the unshakable core of strength within his swords, perhaps an allusion to his Tracing of weaponry, or the whole BODY OF SWORDS thing.

Or it could be an allusion to things like the Faery sword of Fionn, that was run through the body of the smith who forged it. His blood tempered the metal, his bones set it.

>>3041948

Translate it better, please.

His body is made out of swords
His blood is of iron and his heart of glass
He survived through countless battles
Not even once retreating
Not even once being understood
He was always alone
Intoxicated with victory in a hill of swords
Thus, his life has no meaning
That body was certainly made out of swords

There is no pronouns of a first-person nature. And the last line indicates certainty ("その体は、[きっと]剣で出来ていた。").

Maybe he actually just meant bane. He is Japanese, after all.

>> No.3042007

Why would he be the bane of his sword?

The only way I can see that working is that because of the nature of projection (when one slight tiny thing goes wrong), it relies on the user's mind, so by not even allowing tiny imperfection he "destroys" his swords.

... But that's stupid. He doesn't mean bane.

I think he means 'boner'.

I just love throwing the bone of my sword thing into the google translator.
It seems that it gets updated now and then and gives different results.

One time it had some crap in it about a thousand dollars.
I wish I had that one saved somewhere.

You can't deny that saying " So as I pray, Unlimited Blade Works" sounds much better than "This body is probably itself a sword."

Don't you mean "Infinite Creation of Swords"?

Copypasta from yesterday:

>I am the bone of my sword
He created swords with his own mana, so he is the 'core' of his swords
>Steel is my body
Check out his ass
> and Fire is my blood
He's tsundere for Shirou
>I have created over a thousand blades
He created over a thousand blades
>Unknown to death
Stuck in the grail
>nor known to life
He's some sort of NEET
>have withstood great pain to create many weapons
Tracing hurts like fuck
>Yet, those hands will never hold anything
Everyone dies and he's all alone
>So as I pray, Unlimited blade works!
He prays for an unlimited amount of blades.
