Honkers PC is pretty smooth these days. I much prefer Honkai's artstyle and current state where they already got the awful launch phase and are at the good part of the game where it's actually playable and the updates are great.

I wish I could relive the last 2 years of discussion. Shitposting and talking about priconne the first 2 years was REALLY fun until /drag/ took over the general for the last 3-6 months or so and now with the English ver announcement I officially have nowhere to talk about this game I love.

Gacha games typically have limiteds around christmas/new years/annis/collabs so I'm not sure why you're surprised. It's not really anything out of the ordinary and you shouldn't be expecting to get every unit anyway unless you're spending.
Also from my short experience playing Arknights that game was perfectly playable with low rarity units as long as you used your noggin so I don't really see the issue.

If you're not a whale you shouldn't be expecting to get every shiny waifu. You save for that one waifu you really can't miss then blow your load to get her like every other gacha game. The playability with low rarity matters because it means it's perfectly reasonable to go long periods without rolling to save up while still being able to clear content.

Her healing skill is pretty nice and is on a quick cooldown.
Having defense down on her basic skill is appreciated as it lets my Wilhelm burst down targets quick.
Her second special skill is a a rather weak aoe that can inflict delay (50% base chance) which isn't the greatest so it's not used too often.
Overall she's a decent healer that you get for free while also providing some offensive support.
She can be somewhat tanky and has innate debuff resistance which is good to have on your sustain.
Love her bunches.

According to sensortower the game made $1.8m across both iOS and GP in November which can be still considered pretty decent. Financially, it's probably one of the more successful games in /mbgg/. GCG and Ash Arms for instance are barely making over $100k monthly each last I checked. Tenka and Wafuri made $700k. Rezelos actually managed $3m but has the Re:Zero IP backing it. Final Gear made ~$4m. Shironeko still looking healthy with ~$3m. Another Eden with ~$2m.

There's that one new naval warship game too but I forgot what it was called but that probably also raked in at least $1m. Overall I'd say while PoE isn't a big hit, it's still nowhere close to being dead.

In all seriousness, I can't tell when the best time to get into Pride of Eden will be.
Right now there's an ongoing "toybox gacha" that's going on that features a SSR selector ticket which is stupidly good for new players because you can just choose Evante, one of the strongest characters (and one of the only cunny SSRs), off the bat if you don't have her. This gacha only goes up to the 15th and I have no idea if they will bring something similar to this back in the future. The current gacha featuring >>30065429 is also only going up to the 15th so anyone interested in rerolling can also try to aim for her and then farm as much currency as possible to try and get the select ticket in the toybox gacha after.
However, doing this will probably leave you next to no rolls available for the gacha change which will either be the panda, the reindeer, or both. If your primary interest is either one of those two characters you'd be better off just rerolling when they're released.
Also there are supposed to be free 10 rolls sometime soon - around New Year according to this tweet.

Problem is that they're likely to make these free rolls limited to the standard banner so it's not a way to reroll for current limited characters, but is nice for just building up a roster of non-limited SSRs.
I guess best scenario here is to reroll for whatever limited girl you like (panda is most likely not limited) and then hope you don't get fucked by the free 170 rolls. If you don't care about any of the limiteds then you can just start during the free roll period and just make a bunch of accounts and then settle with the account that has the best roster at the end of the 17-day period.
