ok, so i downloaded tsukihime and installed the english patch. but it says that i have to use better music from a cd or something. so please tell me everything i have to do to optimize tsukihime. i know fsn had about 6 differant patches, so does tsukihime?

You can't follow the readme instructions? They are very clear.

If you installed Tsukihime by using Daemon Tools to mount a CD image, open CDex, point it to the location of the virtual drive, and it will show a list of 11 tracks (12, actually, but 1 of them isn't an audio track).

"Next, go to the Encoder tab and choose the Ogg Vorbis DLL Encoder as your encoder. Click OK, select all audio tracks and click Convert /Extract CD Track(s) to a Compressed Audio File."

Take the tracks that are created, rename them to track01.ogg, track02.ogg, etc., and place them in the CD subdirectory of the Tsukihime folder.

Screw that, man. Take your 11 favorite songs, convert them into .ogg files, rename them track01.ogg, track02.ogg, track03.ogg, etc. and then toss them into the CD folder.

They might not fit into the story, but you won't get tired of listening to them either.

The only difference is that the Tsukibaki tracks sound a little more polished. The songs are the same and are still great in the original.

I actually prefer the original soundtrack but that's probably because I spent so many hours listening to it while playing Tsukihime.

Shiki becomes bedridden at least once per route. It's very brief in near side and Shiki gets to participate in a lot more ass kicking, but in Far Side, especially in Hisui and Kohaku's routes, he spends a LOT of time in bed.

By comparison, Shirou gets to participate in a lot more kickass action than Shiki, but Shiki gets to dish out more hot dickings.

On the other hand, Shirou has never dealt in mollusk love, so at least in the case of /h/ scenes, quantity may not be better than quality.

If it helps, I think Akiha and Ciel are both lunatics. Rin's tsun-ness is way overexaggerated though, mostly by Shirou himself as dense narrator. Her true end was the best (although saddest) end. Kohaku dies, Akiha dies, everyone forgets Ciel, Arc never even shows up. Her final CG is pretty emotional too, what with the ribbon flying into the wind.

Satsuki is the best female character, next to Arima Miyako.

She got her life saved by Shiki, and what does she do? Does she cling to him like some sort of desperate, pathetic slut?

Hell no.

She just admires the virtues of the man who rescued her from afar, content with merely observing him. This carries on for years, as she slowly develops a true, pure love that refuses to fade with the passage of time. Just watching Shiki was enough for her, but then one day she actually gets to walk home with him.

The amount of happiness this brought her was impossible for her to hide, and she finally got to interact one-on-one with the man she had come to love. Things were progressing even better than she had ever dreamed; it was almost looking like she could show Shiki the pure, innocent love she had for him and maybe even be accepted!

But then, she got bitten and turned into a vampire. Naturally, when that is the case, it is well-nigh impossible to resist the inevitable bloodlust. Satsuki even has to cave in to it. But when Shiki was put in danger by it, she actually manages to control the insatiable desire, and hold on to her sanity for the very end. All so she could protect the one who protected her so long ago; all so she could tell him the feelings she had kept to herself for so long.

And what was her reward?

The man she loves ceases her existence.
