But of course, now I'm going to have to rant my ass off about this game now.

First of all, JURIETTO's 2D is SO FUCKING BROKEN that it makes Haruka look balanced. Then again it's probably more my fault for running into it as it's a ridiculously good combostopper, but as long as I keep falling for it I'll continue to bitch about it.

Second is the obligatory bitch about dropped inputs. In my case I think failed supers and such aren't to blame so much on dropped inputs (that's not to say they aren't at all) as on the terrible habits I've picked up playing 2D fighters. Mainly, I've caught myself just rubbing the middle of my thumb on the controller - especially for 41236 and such - which often leads to whiffs that cost me the match. Any way to remedy this?

Thirdly, give back Kurumi's j.22 and j.88. ;_;

Also, has /jp/ decided on this loli's name yet? Is it Shiera, Sierra, or Ciela? I've been calling her Ciela myself, but everyone else seems to use the other two. Suge hasn't confirmed it beyond katakana himself though, has he?

Juliet's 2D is one of the slowest attacks in the game. Juliet in general is very strong, but very slow. And the easiest character to proxy guard.

If you have trouble with her, its entirely your own fault. Its not like she even has unblockable moves like Kanae does.

Well if that was you, make sure you're using v1.01 - which can be found on the wiki - and LunaPort r38 - which can't. The wiki hasn't been updated since r36 so you're probably using the wrong one, I'd imagine.

Then just extract it into your vanpri folder with the rest of the crap and it should work. At least, what was happening LOOKED like that error I had the one time when I was a version behind without noticing it.

This game supposedly hates the SHIT out of controllers that aren't USB, so unless that's the case you'll have to use XPadder or something.
Aside from that you'll have to config it from the program or game.ini yourself, which isn't too hard to do.

Couple things I'd like to make clear though: First, I hate Ayane's guts. Sure, she's a good character, and to be honest when I first saw the roster of this game a week or so before it came out I could've sworn she would be my main. BUT, as it turns out, there's just always SOMETHING she has that can destroy all of my mains. And I hate it. Her arrows seem pretty difficult to time, though; as a Mina player in SS5SP I feel your pain.

Second, I don't know what's giving you the idea to use Kaede's j.A as a jump-in but it just doesn't work. Did you notice how nearly every mirrormatch started the same way -- with me airthrowing you? That's because that's what Kaede is. That's what she does. She lives and breathes airthrows. While j.A is good situationally, j.C is there so you can hold 4 or 6 while jumping in and if they try to jump, there's your airthrow. On top of that, people are pretty predictable with shit like jumping at the beginning of a match so it's a lot easier to pull off than it seems.

Third, another bitch about this game. I love it and Suge did a good job but goddamnit, soul crush-- I mean CALCIUM BREAKS need to last longer. As a Kaede player, 90% of the time it happens is because of rekkas and - as everyone should know - the last one flips Kaede in the air and it takes a second to get back down. In that second, calcium break's gone and the opponent can already do whatever the hell they want. It makes no sense for the character who can do it the most consistently to not be able to do very much with it.
