Why are they seeking forgiveness. In the grand scope of things maybe it'll get some people to feel better but it won't do anything tangible. The survivors of the bomb won't be appeased by the apology of high school students who weren't even born at the time. Maybe if this was a high ranking government official then maybe it'll work.
