I just spent the night walking around a mall just so my parents through I had friends I could go have dinner with. On the plus side, I discovered that there is an Ichibankan near my house that sells Japanese goods along with kawaii bento boxes.

It was a mix of good and bad. Alice was great though.

Why not be honest to your parents and simply tell them that you have no friends? Works for me.

Pumpkin scissors was a good change to either some idealistic pacifism infused war drama or some shonen make the world better kinda series. It's nice to see a dirty, corrupt and rotten post war country try and rebuild itself.

I used to do that too. I would hang out at this Internet cafe all the time to make my parents think I was with normal friends. But really I was hanging out with the regulars there along with the owner. Kickass place. The owner was one of those old school anime fans that did VHS fansubbing. He also hid his power levels and had shame of his anime hobbies, which I think the current generation of weeaboos need.

Maybe. It's sort of like video games now though. There was a time when only the biggest of nerds played games or watched anime. Now it's sort of cool and acceptable to do both (here in the west at least). Oh well, at least the Japanese will always have their sense of shame!
