I was really bummed about not being able to go to AX. To a great extent I still am, though there will always be another chance like that. Maybe not in America, but I am willing to travel for Momusu (plus my wallet was devoid of any type of currency at the moment, and all the great merchandise would have only plagued me).

I'm lighting a candle for Jab. my sincerest condolences to Jab and his friends. I did not know him at all, nor have I ever seen any of his posts as I find JPh!p a bit too pervy for my tastes, he is still a human, and his death is a loss nonetheless. From what I've heard, he was a cool guy, and he looks like the kind of person who would have been fun to hang out with at any convention.

Just finished Plat 9 and have come to the conculusion that it just slightly less a release than Resonant Blue was. The setlist while featuring some good Plat 9 tunes was too scattered and didn't generate the flow of Resonant.
And did anyone else feel that the camera work and choreagraphy featured just Ai, Reina, and Niigaki. Resonant had a much more unified feel to it. Just my feeling on it.

so here's what i think they can do to make a better pv

2. make it look really cool by sprucing up the set, taking better shots, and the post production. this is suited for something like resonant blue but they should do this for all their singles anyway.
3. make it crazy, ridiculous, or even cheesy. something like the peace. obviously suited for upbeat songs like mikan

of course there are many more ways to be creative. i feel like the fandom is growing complacent to mediocrity. i don't think the pvs are crappy because they're cutting costs. they're just making pvs this way so they can pack closeup shots and dance shots into single v's and sell more.

You make some good points and I agree with some of them but you really think that Resonant's video didn't convey the mood and underlying message?
Also, I have to ask, to what degree do you spend creating an elaborate PV when it is the 40th release, at some point are you forced to accept the recent string of PVs. How much air time do these videos get, since I don't have Japanese Music Video Stations I have no idea how that works.
And don't you think the 3-2-1 Breaking Out PV was a major changeup, it even encouraged fan creativity.

I also really enjoyed Ai no Iro. Its one of the larger unit songs in Musume history, and it has a really great sound to it. I don’t really care for the fact that the unit is comprised of 6 members though, as that means not everyone gets their fair share of lines and are just relagated to being backdancers and whatnot. However, the fact that my favorite Team K member Chikano RIna is in this unit automatically means this song is win…and it doesn’t help that the song by itself is just great.

The last song I enjoyed from this stage would be Sayaka’s solo song, Mushi no BALLAD. The whole prospect of Sayaka getting her own solo song was really exciting for me, however, I was initially turned away by the title. I didn’t want another boring ballad, and Sayaka’s stellar vocals would be put to much better use in a very rock-style song. Thankfully, this song is no ordinary ballad. In fact, I would equate it to more of an 80’s style power ballad, like something akin to a Bon Jovi song or something like that. This is without a doubt my favorite song of the stage (and really, it had absolutely NO competition, considering the dribble it was up against in this stage). Sayaka really puts her best into this song, and just the whole song itself is awesome. The vocals, the beat, the pace of the song all combine to form one hell of a tune.

So yeah, out of 16 songs, those 4 were the only ones I thought worth mentioning. All in all, this stage is a bust for me overall. While it has a couple of exceptional standouts, the fact that the majority of songs are either boring or just plain generic really brings this stage down in my opinion. It doesn’t compare to its predecessor, and doesn’t even hold a candle to B4, which remains my dominant favourite of the current running stages.

I have never seen a good japanese comedian. I have never seen a tolerable japanese comedian. Somewhat fast, lots of stuff going on, something that should be played at high volume, yet still catchy...and electronic. Motherfuckers read my mind or hacked my winamp playlist.

Also: I'm sure this track fits right in on a setlist at one of those house clubs she's been so fond of lately.
