I almost was unable to play through F/sn while I read the prologue I thought the main character was actually female. I can't play VNs that I can't relate to the main character in some way, and having a vagina is a pretty big barrier. I stuck it out for like an hour and then found out that was actually just the prologue and all was right with the world and I forgave it. But yeah, it almost made me not even keep playing.

I always thought Nasu's writing was at its best when he was writing from the 3rd person perspective during the interludes, Saber's were okay, but Rin's interludes were amazingly well done, better than the prologue.

When I started playing FSN and it was from the perspective of Rin, I figured I had misclicked on some UBW button (in retrospect this made no sense, but I wanted to believe) and assumed that each route was from the heroine's point of view and got really excited. Then I finished the prologue and the menu faded in.

Needless to say I wasn't happy at all. But needless to day, it would have worked just fine if each route had been from the heroine's view, so we could compare their true inner feeling's about Shirou's cock.

Probably some detailed rape scenes with Sakura too, fuck yeah.
