China should probably just let Tibet go. Han Chinese are not genetically suited for living in the high altitude of Tibet. The miscarriage rate for Han Chinese women in Tibet is very high. Also, the current president Hu Jintao used to be the party official in Tibet, and he had a really hard time living there and was sick every day.

I can understand them wanting to hang onto Taiwan though, because there's actually stuff in Taiwan. Good stuff, like highly developed cities and an educated populace. Unlike Tibet, which is just some mountainy shithole.

Has anyone ever been to Xinjiang or Tibet? I have and it's a shit hole. Nothing but tourist traps and yuppie white guys trying to "save the people from the oppressive PRC".
