No, I prefer my own country thanks. Japan can keep sending us the porn games though.

Well OP I'm still considering, but I'm probably too late (with age and all)

I'm currently an exchange student here. 3 months gone, 7 left. It's been nice. Lots of girls always around me etc. even though I'm a quiet and ugly nerd (like any typical 4chan visitor).

Not yet. Depending with whom I go but that will most likely be a nightmare. At the same time I still actually want to experience that. With my voice it's going to be terrible anyway.

No matter how bad you sing, people will still tell you that you are a good singer.
I had the great excuse that I can't sing English songs because I'm German, even though I speak English fluently.
Duh

Even though I'm not native either, I hate even listening to English songs. I'm most likely going to go to karaoke with some girls from my school's anime club. At least they've said that they want to take me there and sing some iosys songs and such. If it was something like that I wouldn't have to worry so much about my voice since it would just be really weird anyway.

>> No.2930149

>>2930106

In that case you're lucky, I was taken to "normal" karaoke.
Singing Japanese songs is not that bad, since no matter how bad your Japanese or your singing,
they will be happy that you are at least trying to sing in their language.
When it comes to English songs it is a whole different matter.
The worst thing was that the English songs there were retarded mainstream pop-songs, which I couldn't
stand at all.

Yeah but do you have any tips how to cope with it?

Sure they would notice in super conservative Japan that you drank some alcohol to get more loose, wouldn't they?

>> No.2930180

>>2930156

Since I'm German it was generally accepted that I drink alcohol, my host family even bought beer for me to drink at home.
Sometimes cliches come in handy...

Also,

If I sign up now, do you think I'll be able to go in 2010 - 2011?
