I'm not a Gil/Arc-expert, but I thought that the main reason that Gil > Arc is because of the fact that Gaia only increases Arcs power to get to an even level with her opponent.
Gil gets his strength from his Noble Phantasm and not from his 'true powerlevel' or something like that.
He also has EA, who can fuck the earth up pretty bad and kill Arcs source of power.

Judging from the various uses by Gil, there is no way it can kill/damage the Earth to that extent that fast, even if you take shown output and multiply it by 10.

And while your comment about Gil is important (since stats, firepower and abilities are separate), the world doesn't do just a stat readout. Arc will get enough energy to deal with the overall threat.

Finally, Arc is someone who survived absolute physical destruction and doesn't really have weakness(whick Gil's weaponry can usually capitalize) . Ea oneshot is unlikely, when less resistant people can defend/survive it.

Therefore, absolute result is hard to guess.

To put it simply, much more effort and firepower are required from Gil's part for victory than Arc.

Gil never uses Ea at its maximum output. At full power it's supposed to be strong enough to wipe out a continent, hence the anti-world classification. Also its origin is divine, so Arc might not be able to get powered up to the same level, as she is limited by what the Earth can generate.

I don't really get why it all that stupid that Gilgamesh would be able to take out Arcueid.

First of all his stats are pretty damn amasing for a Servant and people shouldn't forget of the fact that his vault is actually very dangerous.
Even if Arcueid would suppousedly be able to break out of the chains I don't think that it would be a stupid thing to say that it would at least be able to hold her down temporarily.
When beings bound by the chain is unable to interact with the world outside of the chain and any attempts of doing anything like that i automatically negated and spells the likes cannot be used when held by the chains.
Gilgamesh perfers to use the chains together with Ea as his main weapons and then just as Arcueid has her Marblephantasms that she can use in order to shape nature according to her mind as long as they follow the laws of what is naturally possible, Gil also have an insane ammount of stuff that shields him from specific various things such as stuff that makes him invulnrable to fire and cold and so on.
The swords that gilgamesh is suppousedly not much slower than mach 13 (which is insanly fast).
Even though Arcueid has tons of magical attacks her non magical attacks won't work on a servant.


I don't really see why it would be a stupid idea that Gilgamesh the king of heroes that gods could not kill would be able to fight Arcueid.

It's a bad matchup according to Nasu. Which really implies he couldn't cleverly think of a scenario where one would topple over the other. Truth be told, it can go either way.

Out the gate, Arc's faster than most Servants, and Gil's got an ego problem, even not colored by Angry Manjew's taint. We've already seen that sword spam can be accurately dealt with given proper reflexes, which leaves him with tactics surrounding his chains and Ea. And Arc wouldn't be unarmed with the chain--it'd still be enough time to summon the Castle Brunestud, and then SHE attacks with chains.

Really, the powerlevels mean bunk in the face of surroundings, surprise advantage, foreknowledge on opponent, and availability of power.

The point is, who has the advantage. Arc's resistances and battle mentality when compared to Gil's are better, and they both have high attack power.

Gilgamesh fought and wrestled with gods and took down creatures who the gods didn't stand a chance against that were a threat to the existence of the worlds, both human realm and the gods realms.

Sure they do, but to be honest I belive this would be one thing were Gilgamesh have the lead.
One of the most dangerous things Arcueid can do is to smash the moon on the earth, pretty much taking out the majority of the planet. Still, it is not exactly as if Gil couldn't something like that either. With Ea gilgamesh can still take out the majority of the landmass on the entire earth and I actually have a heard time seeing her Marble Phantasm as more dangerous than Gilgamesh's Gates of Babylon.

Arcueid can take lots of damage and so on and can even ressurect given she has enough prana. Her ressistance costs prana though and if she gets taken out once she will propably be taken out again until she is truly beaten. (You became a hell of a lot weaker after shiki had killed her.)


And then, this a matchup between gilgamesh and the 30% powered Arcueid, so I wouldn't find it all that unbelieving.

The circumstances for Gil to be both serious and deal with you fast and efficiently are very small.

Arc's main attacks are physical, which Gil doesn't deal the best, and Marble Phantasm, which is much more than simple magic. If she pulls of an attack like the one she did on Roa, I can hardly see gil surviving it (assuming it affects him in the first place always)
He is obviously not in his full Half-God+ Splendor when Summoned as a Servant, and he is definitely prone to even simple forms of damage(has to block/avoid magical attacks, while Saber nullifies them instantly)

If you want to make an 'Original Half God Naked Gil' Vs Arc, we do not have enough info to begin speculating.

Regardless of all of this, though, Gil's origin was a semi-divine human. Arc's is the descendant of a TYPE. Even without using MP or anything, Arc's basic physical abilities are far, far above any servant's.

Let's put this into the situation when Lancer was trying to kill Shirou, the second time. Shirou, as a super-novice mage, was able to barely defend against getting instantly killed.

However, Arc could have easily killed him before he twitched, and Lancer's no slouch. If Gil's stats in Fate/Zero average out to be about B+/A, then Arc's are at least EX, if not higher.

When you factor in Gil's relatively weak form when fighting with a melee weapon, you'd think that Arc would win as soon as she gets within striking range, and considering her speed, that doesn't seem like much of an issue.

Since it's always about Gil v. Arc even though ONE STEP in that list means they're nearly right beside each other...

Arcueid's maximum output without succumbing to bloodlust is 4 times more powerful than an average Servant. Meaning her maximum output in Red Arcueid mode is about 12 Servants in power, which is beyond Primate Murder.
Gilgamesh's maximum output (crank Gate of Babylon to 11, Enkidu starts lashing everywhere, nonstop Enuma Elish) is a torrent stated to be equivalent to 5 Servants. Therefore, without giving in to her vampiric impulses, Gilgamesh is stronger in raw force through massive-range non-stop Noble Phantasm BEAMSPAM.

I'm not a Naruto/Ichigo-expert, but I thought that the main reason that Naruto > Ichigo is because of the fact that Bankai only increases Ichigo's power to get to an even level with his opponent.
Naruto gets his strength from his Ninja Abilities and not from his 'true powerlevel' or something like that. He also has NCT (ninja clone technique), which can fuck the opponent's battle aura up pretty bad and kill Ichigo's source of power.
