Well, the only thing that really links the two of them is the outfit.

But episode 2's was totally unreliable narration I'm guessing, so there may be a chance they're the same. Or episode 2's Beato didn't appear at all.

Jessica is the brains behind Beatrice, Shannon is the one who puts on the costume and shows herself. Case in point- game board Beato only appears if Shannon survives the first twilight. Eps 2 and 4.

Other fun facts- if Shannon survives the first twilight, Eva and Hideyoshi always die. If she dies they both live. Also, if Shannon lives, Jessica always dies on the second twilight. Kanon's body always dissapears if Shannon survives.

Shannon is a strange exception to the rule that those hired by Kinzo be among 'the most promising graduates' from the Fukuin House. She was hired practically before she even started attending school. Age 6. Shannon is the one among all those that age who remember Battler's behavior best. See attached and following images.

Should also point out that even though Jessica dies on the second twilight, there is no confirmation of when she died in Ep4, and Beato used a partial red to describe her as a corpse in Ep2.

And the conclusion.

In regards to Episode 4, I've wracked my brain for some time trying to think of how Jessica, who I thought was the Beatrice Battler met on the balcony, could have killed herself. But then I turned things around and put Shannon in Jessica's place, and suddenly it became very easy.

Shannon had the only gun that was removed from Kinzo's study. After she killed everyone else and did a sloppy staking job, she dressed up as Beatrice and confronted Battler. His lolwut response was enough, and she sent Battler of to the chapel while she prepared to 'leave the game board'. She went back to the well where she killed Nanjo, and using a long rope and a heavy stone, tied the stone to the stock of the gun and lowered it down through the grate over the well. She then set the stake down next to herself, and once she shot herself in the head the stone dragged the gun down through the grate and into the well where Battler couldn't reach. Voila, a final magic crime to add to the ones she made Kyrie and Jessica tell Battler over the phone- 15 people shot to death and not a gun to be found.

Well, Shannon's and Jessica's survival to the late/endgame are pretty much mutually exclusive. And yet 'Beatrice' appears at the end of Episode 1, at the start and end of Episode 2 (though all the scenes are questionable at best), is absent in Episode 3 aside from the letter at dinner (Shannon is dead and Jessica is always with the cousins and under guard by the parents downstairs), and in Episode 4 someone else writes a letter for dinner, but Beatrice appears openly before Battler at the end of the first day.

So unless Shannon or Jessica are faking their death (and Jessica seems to fit the bill better than Shannon for that), both of them could be alternatively using the name Beatrice.

I always thought of the title "Beatrice" being interchangeable with each episode. But at the same time, I like the theory of 1 main killer doing all of it, while their henchmen are changed with each episode.

The Jessica theory makes sense, but what real reason does she have for killing everyone? What exactly would be her motive?

>>2899889
You mean, Magical Breeding Power.

>> No.2899935

Shanon, probably.

The whole Kanon=Shanon thing only states that the two haven't been seen together by Battler and it assumes that Kanon or Shanon can disguise themselves as the other.

Now, some people tell you that it means one of them is dead. I'm saying it means that one of them is covering for the other. This keeps 17 people on the island.

One interesting note is that if you look at Game Beato as a servant, you can almost solve Maria's Rose. They mentioned Kinzo using a skeleton crew for his mansion, which includes gardening. So one of the servants is the gardener. Maria's rose was dead, so obviously a servant would have had to clean it up. Very possible that the person who gave Maria the umbrella and note was a servant.

That being said, if Shanon is game Beatrice, what the fuck is Kanon doing? On one hand, he could be dead, and Shanon is covering up his death with her own. On the other, Kanon could be in on it too.

Of course, if you want to bring Jessica into the equation, saying that she's working with Shanon, we have a pretty good reason Kanon and Jessica never really hit it off, right? Would YOU start a relationship with someone who was about to kill 13 people almost at random? Hell no.

>> No.2899973

It's 18 before Kinzo

I'm saying before the game starts, they're both alive. However, Kanon might be disguising himself as Shanon to give her an alibi. That kind of thing.

>Now, some people tell you that it means one of them is dead. I'm saying it means that one of them is covering for the other. This keeps 17 people on the island.

Even if was only for a day, I think Natsuhi would notice if one of her servants was going missing for hours at a time or wasn't doing any of their duties. Look at how damn fussy that woman is. And Shannon or Kanon, whichever it was, must be a master of teleportation and rapid clothes changing. Plus have some major paddage/binding going on. I think George would notice if the boobs 'Shannon' was rubbing all over his arm were phony. Unless he's into that kind of thing. ick

And the whole Shannon/Kanon never being seen together by Battler just seems like a red herring to keep chumps grasping at yet ANOTHER mystery guest, since both messieurs 18 and 19 have been proven not to exist.

Ah, same here>>2899973

Anyway, I think Shannon = Kanon is way to easy and obvious a way to bring our acclaimed Mystery Person X back onto the table.

>> No.2900111

And anyway, if we really need to bring additional people onto the island, there is a much easier way than Shannon or Kanon being crackers. As the reduction to 17 people showed us, the dead are not counted among those on the island. Additional people could come onto the island at any point after the first twilight. It would be a dangerous trip, but not impossible.

>> No.2900171

>>The whole Kanon=Shanon thing only states that the two haven't been seen together by Battler

Weren't both Kanon and Battler present when Shannon was found to be among the six victims of the first twilight of Episode 1, at least, with enough of her face left intact to make her recognizable? Or does it only count if he sees them both together alive?

Everyone but Shannon's corpse was visible. Her corpse was "coincidentally" out of plain sight. Her corpse was only seen by about 3 people. Kannon, Krauss, and I forgot who person number 3 was. Hmmm, point taken. I'll think more of this as I drift into lalaland. You could also think of it as, from his perspective, he takes a quick glance around and is so dumbfounded that he doesn't even want to count them all. He can see 5 but assume that there's more. "How many people died!?"

Sounds pretty strange even if he did see the extra corpse making all 6. 6 isn't exactly the hardest number to count to. Seems more like he's just overcome with such shock that he doesn't know what to expect if he were to stay in there any longer. What other people could be in there out of plain sight.

Either way, it's a scene that can't be ignored. It's the closest scene we have to a confirmation of Shannon and Kannon being separate beings.

So the first twilight is committed by Hideyoshi, he realises that they are in a serious need of money so he kills the three other siblings with Kyrie and Gohda who were at the wrong place. He realises Kanon and Shannon (female) is the same person, and because he don't want his son to marry with a maid, he convinces Kanon to play the death of her other self, and this way it would be better for everyone. He respects their love, so he spares him. Then Kanon later kills both of them and Nanjo covers him right after with a false diagnosis.
