Why didn't anyone tell me there was a Tsukihime anime?

Gonna watch it. First episode looks good so far.

>> No.2872206

The fuck are you talking about?

>> No.2872205

good for you

>> No.2872212

Silly Anonymous, that wasn't the Tsukihime animu. That was the Kara no Kyoukai animu. I know Kokutou and Shiki look alike, but they aren't that alike.

Besides, everyone knows that there is no Tsukihime animu. How can you watch that which does not exist?

You guys don't know about it? Here's a still from it.

That meme is there for a reason.
The music is good, though.

Huh?

But theres a review for it right here. http://www.animenewsnetwork.com/review/tsukihime-1

I liked Turkeyhandle. Sure, the characters' personalities were all different, but it held up just fine as its own retelling of the story. It was a better adaptation than F/Sn, that's for sure.

I liked the anime, never would have played the VN if I hadn't seen it.

ITT: Butthurt Ciel and Akiha fags angry the anime follows the Arcuied route.

More like ITT: Arc fans angry the anime turns her into an emotionless slab.

>> No.2872290

The story in the anime is more or less coherent and ties up everything pretty nicely at the end. They left out most of the pointless fillers from the visual novel and took the best things from all routes.

>> No.2872300

>>2872274
that really has nothing to do with it, and you know it. I watched the anime before reading the VN, and I liked the anime a lot. It's a large part of the reason I paid attention to tsukihime threads and eventually read the VN.

After reading the real thing, I tried to rewatch the anime. It was... rather painful. I think I stopped completely after the amusement park episode.

As a standalone series, it's fine. As a representation of the VN, it doesn't exist.

What's turkeyhandle? Also, what F/Sn adaptation? you mean Fate/Zero? because I've been looking forward to that.

Troll harder.

>> No.2872315

>>2872274
As a Ciel fan, I can say that this is not the case. They could only do one route, after all; anime is like that.

I'm just fucking pissed at the extreme character warping, plot morphing, and overall terrible quality of it. When it's that short, you don't need a bullshit filler episode.

Turkeyhandle is short for Porkslope Turkeyhandle, it's the anime Atari Dumbledore is from.

F/Sn adaptation meant the anime, it was okay but it didn't follow UBW.

Fate/Zero is 2/3 translated now, all of the first two volumes are ready to read. http://www.baka-tsuki.org/project/index.php?title=Fate/Zero

They ruined Shiki as a character. Utterly and completely.
I will never forgive them.

>> No.2872415

>>2872339
Not really. In the end both Shikis are exactly the same. The anime Shiki was spineless at first, but he does develop into a man by the end. Then again, there isn't much of a character to ruin.

>>2872300

I still like the anime because it faithfully captures the atmosphere of the original game. And of course I'm able to view things as seperate works.

Anyways, too much Tsukihime posting today. I already discussed the game to death 3-4 years ago, so I only do this when there is literally nothing else on /jp/ to talk about. Also, I see lots of new faces lately, so maybe the summer is in full swing now. Even the weekday evenings are more active now and have more trolling going on.

Are you going to pull this stupid shtick every time you see a TYPE-MOON thread?
This is 4chan. You should be used to beating dead horses by now.

You ok, bro? I never said that; I usually try to keep far away from seriously discussing TM as much as possible.

Today was an exception because there is really nothing else going on in /jp/ at the moment. Which is unusual (for me anyways).
