Does /jp/ like Godzilla by any chance?

I've been a fan of Godzilla since I was a kid, but I get this vibe that /jp/ are more than likely to know a lot more about the origins of the monsters, the directors, why the Jun Fukuda even allowed to direct Godzilla films, etc.

Anyways, General Godzilla thread, I hope you guys can overwhelm me with your abundance knowledge of such a iconic monster that will someday be revived. Not that piece of shit overgrown iguana we were given in 1998.

Technically Godzilla would crush him with his foot according to Tomoyuki Tanaka, Godzilla was over 300 feet tall and weighed over 50,000 tons... But whatever, Honda did a great job having those two beating the shit out of that pagoda.

Also depends on which version of Godzilla we're talking about.

Final Wars Godzilla is pretty much unstoppable, and Burning Godzilla is a threat to the planet just by existing.

Christ, I should go see it again, I remember getting teary when I saw him freezing up to bring the explosion/radiation to a minimum.

Then I jumped apeshit style for you know what.

The Godzilla of Hollywood was not Godzilla.

When I was a kid left all alone in the house, some kids would go wild knowing they have all the house for themselves, but I would get paranoid that a seven foot jap Godzilla might appear right around the corner.

I always lost immersion when the inevitable badly shot plastic toy Godzilla scenes came up.

Also, when I was still a kid, I would wish that Godzilla would show up on the horizon so that people will start running away and I would be able to steal the SNES of my neighbor dohoho. In retrospect I find it very pathetic since I can now play and have played all the good stuff from the SNES era using an emulator.

I used to think Monster Island was real.
