Nasu is a lazy bastard who's too busy rehashing his old shit to create something entirely new. Even the upcoming Aoko VN is based on something he wrote years ago that was never released.

Pic is one of the few new things he's come up with, but even that is only an extra scenario in a much bigger game.

People say this about everything Nasu writes. I'm starting to doubt it. If I'm to believe everything I've heard then he wrote KnK, Tsukihime, and F/SN all while in high school.

Most likely it just means he came up with the ideas back then, and then got around to actually writing them much later.
