I think a lot of Touhou's player begin with that video : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q16KpquGsIc

The famous Ronald Insanity (its my case).
And you ? Does Zun owe much to Ronald ?

>> No.2855153

This is /jp/, so his correct Japanese name is Donald McDonald!

And yes, Japanese ZUN owes all of his success to the Big Mac. Did you know that they have Touhou Happy Meals in Japan?

I discovered Touhou some time ago back in the gutters. Pic highly related.

I discovered Touhou, while browsing MBAC replays on Youtube. Suddenly I found these "Tohgeki" videos about IaMP tournament. Found it too fucking hardcore, but the girls caught my eye, and two months later I've downloaded danmaku.

More than two years ago, I think. Maybe three. Saw the character listings, thought it was a fanmade online RPG of sorts due to incredibly bad art. Unlike most weeaboo RPGs it was pretty decent though, apparently the kids who made it did their homework. So I researched it a bit, turns out it wasn't a RPG and wasn't even weeaboo. Then I played the games, enjoyed them, kept playing. I only download fanwork I feel like it or if the work in question is worth it (Wriggle vs. SDM) and still mainly keep to the games.

There were always some pictures about Touhou around when it was still on /a/
So i asked and searched and found out what it is, played the games and collected all the music that i could find. And it is still going strong after close 2 years.
>>2855185
That was one of the best parts of /a/ until moot made /jp/ and dumped everything he didn't like here. Well, we got to thank him for this, this board may be slow but it produces some great things.

Playing a StarCraft UMS map.
RGB Bound X.
RGB Bounds are super-hard bounds set to musical scores, just so you know.
X is set to a remix of Invisible Full Moon.
Since it was such a good song, I looked for it.
Enter an inescapable pit.

I don't think so. That's the one guy who does TF2 comics.
>>2855562
/tg/ has, by my reckoning, perhaps 50 fleshed-out original characters (or reinterpretations of existing characters, in the case of Creed or Doomrider) with plenty of art for each. The last ones, I believe, is a Heavy Destroyer girl, the Papalith and a loli Ogryn.

Back when wakachan was still mostly called iichan after the main site closed down 2 years prior, there was a Touhou board mixed with Rozen Maiden. ..I think it may still be like that, actually.

After ignoring the board and its esoteric subject for about half a year, I discovered a few doujins on the board that caught my interest -- this was long before the Magic Archive Voile split, of course. By this time, I'd already made myself more comfortable as a 4chan Anonymous, however.
After Marisa Stole the Precious Thing debuted and Touhou started to become popular on /a/, I paraded around like an expert on subject, even though I didn't actually start playing the games until early 2007.

And it's been a downward spiral since then.

>>2855578
The question was specifically to loli Original Content. /tg/ gets shit done, but prefers delicious Ample Chests in general. Chink-porn not withstanding.

>> No.2855631

I've seen Touhou on the internet since early 2007 but never got into it for two years, being this March, so I guess I'm pretty much a faggot.

>> No.2855665

I guess I randomly encountered Marisa Stole the Precious Thing about a year ago, and through that discovered Extra Stage replays and the awesome soundtrack. Didn't take too long before I got into the games.

Searching for a Rozen Maiden imageboard i found Touhou imageboard (+Rozen Maiden)
