Tsukihime playthrough

Hello once again, /jp/. As the final Sunday of this month rolls around, so too does the final route in my alcohol-fueled playthrough of Tsukihime.

That route, of course, is Kohaku's. Over the last four weeks, I've finished the first four routes, and it culminates tonight in the second sister's. I've heard that this route is shorter, but that may just be because it shares a lot of the starting scenes.

Once again I find myself await your judgment in the form of drinking rules to spice up the route. I'll take the two or three I feel best about, but since I've never played through this before I'll largely be relying on you guys to pick good ones.

Lots of repetition so far, I think only one or two scenes I haven't seen before. I just got back from having some food, though.

I haven't noticed a strange dream yet (or it went by without me noticing). I didn't bother drinking specifically alongside the party in Hisui's route since there was quite enough already going on form the other rules. I guess we'll see what it's like when it pops up in a bit here.

Okay before I completely chalk that scene up to insanity, let me see what I do know:

1) Shiki did leave his room and went into town
2) Shiki decided to make human spaghetti (with meat sauce)
3) Some unidentified other killer dude showed up, short fight ensues
4) Lengthy chat about coffee, smoking, killing takes place
5) The two part ways and Shiki goes back to his room

And all this just happens without Shiki caring? The hell? He just doesn't care that he sliced up a few random people? And who the hell was the other guy?

One of my favorite scenes in Tsukihime is when Shiki is talking to Kohaku about the girl who have him the ribbon. Kohaku looks GENUINELY TOUCHED when she thinks Shiki remembers, but then looks COMPLETELY CRESTFALLEN when Shiki starts talking about Hisui.

There are MANY choices and paths, and only a correct sequence leads to specific endings, aka you must both do the proper school event, loiter in a specific part of the house and ponder at night about a specific issue etc.
Without a guide, narrowing it down is hard.
Going through a day doesn't actually take long, but you will be repeating events a lot.

On the upside, the scenes are short and since you'll make a lot of repeat choices to try and get something, you can skip a lot of repeat text. And even most of the 'nothing' ends are still fun to read.

A lot of it is less serious than Tsukihime though, it feels more like Plus+ Disc in that regard.

the only drinking rule I can think of for KT is every time the day ends, take a drink.

Also take another drink for every half day that you don't unlock/do something new.

If I remember right, it took me about the length of 2-3 routes to unlock most everything (including finishing the main route)

Well, looking back on this past month, it's been a fun ride. I had some good times, a couple bad times, but all in all it was fun. I really liked Tsukihime, much like Fate but seemed a lot darker. 5 routes in 5 Sundays wasn't too bad at all, and I looked forward each week to the next Sunday. I think I'll remember June as Tsukihime month for a long time.

I think out of all the heroines, I have to admit my favorite was Arc. I've heard people call her shallow and simple and stuff, but maybe I'm a kinda of guy who can be happy with that. But all of the routes were interesting in their own way and they all made me care about the heroine.

As for what to do next, I'm not sure. I want to go through all of Kagetsu Tohya, but like I said above, it probably wouldn't make for good threads, so maybe I'll just play that on my own time or something. I'm entering a 3 month project in 2 weeks so I doubt I'll have much free time anyways.

If you all want to suggest some similar VNs that you think I would enjoy or would like watching me read, feel free to suggest them here, I don't know if I'll want to or be able to do them all or when I might be able to though. Whenever I do post one of these threads again, hopefully you'll recognize my writing style and/or theme.

If anyone's interested, I have rars of all of my screenshots from these threads, and the save files as I went through it. I might throw them up on someplace if people are interested.

In the meantime, while I take a break, try not to forget about me and the fun we had too quickly. I'm usually always around here, and it makes me smile when I hear one of you guys reference me or my threads in other ones.

Sunday without Shot-kun's playthrough isn't great.
