While we wait for our magnificent writefriend to show up, let's have a Caster thread.

I think the first thread 404'd, you'd probably have to hit up the archive.

Also waiting for the new thread; I wanna dote up a Caster.

What part of "go to easymodo" don't people understand?

>> No.2837324

>>2837305
Playing easy mode is unforgivable.

>> No.2837328

seems easymodo is down has well. Thought the old thread would still be up honestly.

But it's so convenient. And not just the site. Playing easy on games is good for people who want to finish the game so they can get on with the next one in the pile. Unless it's something like Fire Emblem or God Hand of course, which you should not be a pussy and put it on hard.

>> No.2837349

>>2837336
But the challenge is the best part of the game.

Take Republic Commando, it's plenty of fun on easy to be sure, but the action and suspense of it all is amplified to the extreme with the higher difficulties.

It goes from "oh a Super Battle droid I'll just vibro knife it down"

to "HOLY SHIT THE FUCKING SBD JUST KILLED SCORCH JESUS CHRIST SNIPER RIFLE AMMO NEARLY OUT NO EMPS JESUS WHO FUCKING DESIGNED THIS LEVEL WHY DOES IT HATE ME OH THANK GOD ITS DEAD"

>> No.2837361

>>2837349
Well it depends on various things. It's not like I hate a challenge or anything (again: I play God Hand and Fire Emblem games on Hard). But there's a matter of time, and if all you care about is seeing the whole story or exploring than maybe easy is the way to go.

>> No.2837367

I really liked nanoha's staff's normal form, but it's always in shooting mode.

I guess that's just personal preference then.

I never play games that would require a difficulty setting for the story alone, being entertained is the goal.

>> No.2837411

Well in my case I've gone crazy and driven myself into a corner because my number of unfinished games is ridiculous.

Some people don't know easymodo exists (I didn't until a couple days ago). And some of us don't know just what we're looking for, and may only have noticed this thread and not the one that came before (like me).

>> No.2837443

I think I'm weird.

The first time I ever play a game, I start on the 'Normal' or 'Medium' setting (The exception being Touhou, because I suck at danmaku and even easy is a challenge for me). After a playthrough, I'll go back and breeze through on Easy, and only then will I jack it up to Hard.

Oh wow, I never noticed Easy Modo lets you search by name or tripcode.

Imma look up my old posts and see how shitty of a tripfag I am.

That's the reason of half the tripcodes around here.

Not really, we actually started seeing less tripcode users showing up after the new version of the archive appeared, because they don't want to show up at the top of the "new tripfriends" report.

First off, you are awesome.

Second:
Once it's over are you going to be reediting it and putting it up on FF? Or you could make a thread at /coc/ over on plus4chan and we could start arranging to hack in a Caster, Rider, and Ayako (you play as Rider) route like you mentioned last night.

>> No.2837870

>>2837838
Holy shit yes.

>> No.2837890

>>2837838
It would take a monumental effort because I

1) know jack shit about hacking and editing programs
2) I can't draw for shit
3) need quality testers cause I don't feel like reading 4 threads a day on /jp/ how some fag went to the trouble of writing routes and they feel they suck.

>> No.2837915

>>2837890
That's the whole point of /coc/. It's for long term projects. Getting testers, hackers, and drawfags shouldn't be too hard, we just need somewhere we can send em.

>> No.2837926

>>2837794
are you kidding bro? we all missed you. your caster threads were epic yesterday.

does anyone have the caster pics from those threads?
