Katsu-kun's daily /jp/-related discussion.

In the visual novel Ever17, the characters are stuck in an underwater theme park named LeMU.
This park is (as stated multiple times in the game) named after Lemuria, a hypothetical continent scientists believed to have existed. Its existence would explain some discontinuities in biogeography.
Later, people discovered plate tectonics and continental drift, and from that came a new theory that all continents were once connected as a large continent named Pangaea.
It is theorized that the continental drifts that split Pangaea caused strict natural selection that would only allow the creatures that could adapt to their new environments survive.
Natural selection is a concept in evolution where animals that can adapt to their environment survive, and animals that cannot become extinct, therefore causing animals to evolve, as all specimens with 'inferior' DNA would die, unable to pass on their genetic code.
Intelligent design is a theory that suggests that processes such as natural selection did not take place at random, but were instead caused by an intelligent cause, such as a supernatural being (for example, God).

What does /jp/ think about intelligent design?

Hm, that wasn't much of a reaction. Just 'lol it sucks and I don't need arguments to back it up'?

Eh, maybe tomorrow, Katsu. Not in the mood today.

Tomorrow will be a different /jp/-related topic. If you want to call intelligent design unscientific bullshit and give arguments for it, now's your chance.

Why would anyone go through the effort of putting forward your own views over the fucking internet, on 4chan at that? It's not like the people you're discussing it with have any valid standpoint, anyway.

Anybody has a valid standpoint The real issue is whether they also have arguments to back it up.

Simply put. Male/Female breeding + mutatin + natural selection (really important) + lot of time = working complex structures / organism that are addapted to specific enviorment..

Even if you say so, discussing pseudoscience isn't VN-related. So come back tomorrow when you've come up with a better, /jp/-related topic.

Intelligent design doesn't have anything to back itself up. Deal with it. Find more evidence for your shitty theory then we'll talk.

protip: NONE of his topics are /jp/-related, and probably won't be in the future.
