I can't really agree with that there, I enjoyed the game for what it was. But I did find my eyes mainly focused on the text so I wouldn't notice character art of backdrop transitions, so maybe they were subpar.

I do something different:

1. Don't step on the space between all the tiles (ie. the sides of each tile)

2. I form an invisible line for all four corners of each tile going. Each "imaginary" line divides the 90 degree angles (corner of the tile) into half. I avoid stepping on these lines. This does not only apply for tiles, but for every rectangular-shaped object that I see on the ground.

Sometimes I try to take each sidewalk section in one stride, thus looking like an enormous dumbass.

Once I did this, thinking I was alone, and my professor turned the corner and saw me mid-stride. Frozen there, we both stared at each other for a while, my foot still raised up. After a bit, I regained composure, and walked very quickly (and normally) back to my apartment.
