so im playing star ocean 3 with my brother, but it wont let me play. we set all the characters to manual, and it only registers a single player. why is this? what can i do to play through the game with TWO players?

The only multiplayer is in Versus mode, no matter how hard you try, there's no way to play with a second player save for choosing to do so in Versus. That's the biggest letdown I had from that game, that my brother and I couldn't play together unless we were trying to kill each other and computer.
