Caved in and played the trial for the Majo sequel. To be honest since it felt more like a self contained side story I'm not that frustrated that the full version is vaporware.

Oh shit, you actually tried out the trial for the sequel? From the little that I've played, it was definitely a different experience from Majo and not what I expected. Not necessarily a bad thing, but I kinda missed some of the characters from the first game. Was it fun?

I liked the prequel game for Majo, it's pretty much a condensed 2~3 hour long kinshiiku experience with all the suffering, gags, and emotional scenes you'd expect included. Notable for being one of the few kinshiiku games with pure love romance without any strings or collars attached. I don't remember any characters from Majo appearing or being relevant in it until you reach the post-game scenes, so it's more or less a standalone side story.

The spinoff game with Zaijouin (osubuta) is nice fanservice, but it's short content-wise even if you include the omakes. It's a fun and lighthearted read, but I'd say you should only buy it if you really like Zaijouin and want to see Yaneko and him being a cute couple, or something resembling a cute couple. Also, I played Oni no Kamen and it's an okay read, nothing surprising if you've read other games by kinshiiku. I remember finishing it and wishing that there were more to the game. Kurokou is really moe, so there's that.

It was kind of interesting. I missed the witches though and they don't show up at all (aside from Yaneko and Vitamerle(?) in a very short side story).
If you liked Kurokou I would maybe recommend it (as long as you are fine with watching him suffer because oh boy) as he shows up and is probably the most important character aside from Smokefil(? I have zero clue as to how to romanise these characters' names) who is the protagonist for the entire trial. Basically he is a spy for the resistance alluded to in the stinger in the extras of the first game, and it follows his infiltration into Zaijouin's loanshark business and ascent to the top of the company. Kurokou is his direct boss and they strike up a strange friendship, which of course ends tragically.
It actually gives some clarity on the time frame which I was wondering about before. Assuming the resistance leader is Ryuuzou it's at least 5 years between his 'death' and the start of the sequel, and the trial takes place over about two years, which means the big time skip is 7 years at least, probably a little more.

As the anon who originally shilled Majo here, I second the other anon above: Majo is extremely readable, even if you don't care for the H-scenes where Zaijouin does horrible shit to Yaneko. It's labeled as an otome game, but most of the focus is not actually on the romance. It's a story that hit all the right spots for me in all its suffering and displays of emotional vulnerability.
You could probably play Osubuta and enjoy it without having played Majo first (there's a short recap of events in Majo right at the start), but most of the enjoyment (for me) came from having played Majo first. It's more like a fandisc than anything. I'm not really a S, but it was entertaining seeing Zaijouin act like a M precisely because he's such a huge bastard in Majo. If you're not willing to play through all of Majo, I think playing through the trial first to get to know the characters more first would be good.

Finished a short (like an hour) kinetic BL game called Yellow Dogs in the Rain. I found it in that freege folder someone posted a link for a few threads back and I believe it's by the same person who makes otome games under the names 3REX or moca-chan now.
It's labeled as R18 for some reason in the notes that came with the game and on vndb, but it is absolutely not, it's very tame aside from a couple sex references.
Honestly I thought the story was a bit meh. Kind of cliche and I didn't really buy the romance (I think those sorts of childhood meeting stories just never sit with me, it always breaks my suspension of disbelief). MC being in unrequited love/a sexual relationship with the mentor guy pre-story was kind of interesting though, if only because that kind of thing is rare in commercial games.
Anyway I don't want to complain too much, it's free and didn't take up much of my time. MC and the love interest were cute and the atmosphere was very nice. I like moca-chan's art style a lot even if it's a bit clumsy at times.

I'm reading uuultraC, still in tyhe first chapter but the writing is so fucking weird, in a bad way.
Everything feels so disjointed, like the events just go from one to another but I don't care about what's happening at all and the game doesn't give me a reason either.
It's quite annoying.

In a lot of the ones I've read the main character ends up a complete bog-standard shoujo doormat, but with some drills or occasional ohohoing tacked on lest you forget this is trendy isekai content. I haven't had a whole lot of time to go through it but I started with Pink. Not a whole lot has gone on even on the third day, but I imagine that'll change soon. Pink is an even mix of denpa and autist, but I think he's cute. He's very pure, from what I've seen.
