There was this tribe I read about somewhere. The females cut one breast off so that they can effectively use a bow and arrow. Apparently, it interferes with the drawing and nocking of arrows, or the aiming, or some thing of the sort.

Most depictions of the Amazons show them with both intact, however, or with one covered or bound similar to your description.

So I don't really think that wearing a bikini is a logically sound idea while practicing one's archery.

However, I would also suspect that practice on into other areas near there to do similar. I thought I had remembered groups other than amazons doing that, which is why I listed other places than just the Greece/Turkey region.
