Ok, I know this is dumb, but I suddenly have a craving of seeing Sanae with a cape and cowl.
"MY PARENTS ARE DEAD!"

From what I've read in canon, her abilities are not just genetic, but learned from generation to generation. I like to picture that she just rushed from school, running up the steps of the shrine, quickly changed out of the uniform and put on her little frog and snake thing, the miko attire, and did a silly ritual that caused some wind in the courtyard.
Her arms extended in the air, she notices nobody is there but her grandma looking on from inside the temple.
I don't know, Sanae being a freak in the human world has a lot of room for something good, but anything I think of will amount only to fanfiction. Shit sucks...
