I was in the DVD section of a Japanese electronic goods store checking out all the dvds featuring cute kids just posing and stretching and being cute.

Full of dirty old men right? WRONG! BAKA-GAIJIN!

Most of the customers browsing this section were young parents accompanied by their children or elderly women no doubt shopping for their grandchildren.

What baka-gaijin don't seem to understand is, there is nothing sexual whatsoever about these videos. Most of the people who watch them are girls of about a similar age to the girls in the video. For a young girl studying hard in a school full of other girls studying hard, it can be difficult to make real friends. The videos offer them a "virtual friend" so to speak.

Pic related (chosen by a little girl of about eight years old, her mom bought it her)

>cultural difference
There is no cultural difference, just silly laws. I'm willing to bet only a minority of a minority would want these kinds of DVDs to still be legal.
