Touhou is cool and interesting because it takes inspiration from religion and mythology that has awesome animal deities and nature influence.

If touhou and anime was based on based on boring mythology like Christianity, nobody would be interested since there are no cool animal characters or awesome stories to parody.

The Yakumos could fuck Jesus up.

This is a troll alright, but how can you not like Christianity? It has rape, blood and sacrifices. I fact, some should make a Bible/Apocrypha Books VN.

Christianity has some pretty cool stories. At least in the Old Testament.

protip:"Mythology" means "The study of myths".

So, if you believe, then, its' not a myth.

The result would look something like this, and humanity would never have invented the decimal system.

unless you're an idiot who thinks everything written in the Bible is historical fact, it can still be mythology even if you believe in Christianity. And the same applies to any religion.

Hate the church not the religion. The religion is fine. The religion isn't the hypocrite. Its the assholes who call themselves Christians, pretend to preach the teachings of Christ and then twist it into something it isn't for their own agenda.

>> No.2751922

>>2751908
Bullshit! The religion is based around stories of human sacrifice, animal sacrifice, genocide... You think of a horrible atrocity, it's glorified in the goddamn Bible! And your precious "savior"? He agreed with it! The old laws still apply!

It's fucking insane! The religion glorifies the evils of its practitioners, and this is plainly obvious.

Most of the smartest people in history were not atheists.
They often disliked organized religion (with plenty good reason), but they usually believed in a higher power.

Anyhow, I can't imagine a topic on religion going on for very long without becoming a shitstorm, so I'll just hide this thread.
Thank you, and good night.

This is why we can't have nice threads.

Instead of discussing mythology and religion's effect on popular culture in the United States and Japan you instead bitch about the Bible.

There really isn't much to discuss. The only interesting things that ever get used in anything are some of the Asian, Celtic, Norse, Greek, and Roman mythologies.
Realistically, current religions should not be brought up anywhere on 4chan outside of /b/. The only real exception would be talking about shrines/churches/similar in /trv/.
