What does /jp/ think of Katawa Shoujo? I know it's popular on /a/ (and sometimes even /v/ has a thread about it) but I get the impression that for most people on those boards, it's either the first VN they've read or the only one.

So I ask you, /jp/. Do you like KS? Is it popular around people who read VNs often? I've read a couple of VNs so I'm not new to them, but I just can't get into this one for some reason.

Pic somewhat related, I finished Clannad last night and loved every second of it. I don't have any KS pics saved.

Besides the "lol KS devs" conspiracy shit, I'll be honest. It's shit. Really shit. The writing is terrible, the art is average, the music puts me to sleep, and the story is subpar. I don't know why people act as if it's godly. Perhaps people are jaded because it was made by people on this website.

I liked what's released of it. Only issue with the writing - art and music are fine, presentation is good. The writing's main problem is consistency.

Note how, with rare exception, most of the god-tier VNs are written by one person, maybe one person and a sub-writer? KS is written by, what, 4-5?
