I found George's fight to be much more entertaining. He showed skill, and thought into how he attacked. Also, his, "magic" worked out much better.

I wasn't impressed with jessica at all. RAH I ATTACK AGAIN AND AGAIN, yeah that determination is nice and all, but there wasnt much to it. Hell Ronove could have attacked just once and that would have been it for her.

I don't hate Ange, I think shes a badass, but I also feel that Beatrice might actually be someone with a complicated past. the way they seemed to portray her story (if you trust her) is that she and Maria originally tried to make everyone happy, but somewhere along the way they were hurt (maybe has to do with Battler's sin?), and they ended up doing the murders and all that shit. It also really seems to me that Beatrice is just being used by Bern/Lambda. They even say she is just their doll, and she is literally chained to the game table now. On that note, if the cross IS something for Kyrie only, then Juuza should have a row of golden buttons on his suit.

Actually, I think it has more to do with Eva's family than Jessica's.

The number appeared when George died. This was in the episode when Eva lived. George has died before, but no numbers (assuming, in this case, that Eva killed George for whatever reason).

But that's all I have for now. There's little known about the numbers, so this is at best an educated guess.

But it means the letters would have been sent by someone in the family (possibly Eva as a strange form of repentance).

Wasn't he near the passage leading to Kuwadorian at that point? If there was a killer, and they were on the other side of that well... I think they could count as "being off of the island".

I'd count this up on the red text being vague again, and on how people refer to things. There's a few points where Kuwadorian and the normal mansion are reffered to as being like two seperate islands, so if Beatrice was saying that only 17 people are present at the "true" mansion of Rokkenjima...

Then that would reason that any unconfirmed number of people could have been in the mansion called Kuwadorian, if it really was considered to be a seperate island in spirit.

That's just a really loose theory, of course, but I think it somewhat fits with how Ryukishi rolls.

As unreliable as the Shannon = Kanon theory is, I couldn't help but think of something as they talked in the cell.

That was that it was odd how nobody else noticed those two saying such strange things back and forth. I know Kyrie said Kanon was killed, but that could just be a delusion setting in.

The point I'm getting at, here, is that their conversation might have been a living Shannon talking, in her mind, to a Kanon that was created from some level of insanity that she was experiencing. Of course, I prefer to assume that Shannon pads, and that Kanon is already dead in the story arcs, and is being impersonated by Shannon.

I doubt any scene could be rendered of as "an illusion". Rather, what those two spoke of could be a metaphor to them instinctively knowing that fighting their fate as furniture would not lead them anywhere, but despite that they would give it a try.

I have a much more bold hypothesis though: Could it be possible for someone else influencing them with "lies" about achievements they've "made in past episodes". My basis for this claim is the bottled letters: Since they had two different outcomes in the end of EP3, none which Eva was rendered a murderer in, couldn't it be possible that the other two episodes we viewed where the contents of those letters?

Because I find it really strange that we did not get to read the contents as TIPS, even though Ange seemed to know something more about them.

Kanon was pierced by Satan twice, but one of the bodies are missing.
Hideyoshi was pierced by Beelzebub twice.

If the stakes really have significance, someone needed to have known something about the residents, or be close enough to the residents to choose a sin they felt was appropriate for each person. Not to mention the fact that it says the stakes cannot target someone that is sinless.

Battler says "The heads could have been smashed by a magnum bullet."

This is correct. A hot-loaded (90% casing cap of grains) handloaded bullet in anything .357 magnum and above would cause sufficient damage to blow half of someone's face off.

Though, given the trajectory in relation to the skull's position when fired to destroy half of the head from straight ahead, I feel anything lower than .44 cal and an upwards of 230 grains would suffice.

Anything approaching 1200+ FPS in that high of a grain would probably fragment pieces of the head in such a gorey manner.

Jessica was pierced by Asmodeus in episode 2. Asmodeus is lust, right? So unless it was a silly fluke, it's probably referring to Kanon, whose body went missing. So someone who knew about Jessica's love probably aided in the murders in some way or the other, or it could have been inadvertent, with Kumasawa mouthing off gossip again.

Just because it isn't a shotgun doesn't mean you can't blow half their face off.
Not to mention that it's noted that these are modified for maximum power.

I suppose a dead on shot might not make the side of their head explode, but I'm sure a shot at the right angle could still take half their face off.

What everyone is doing with shots in their faces that all just happen to be at such an angle is beyond me, but the possibility is still there.

So, its >>2740806 here to confirm this.

The Winchesters could definitely, by no means, generate the force necessary to do damage like that.

They're chambered in Long Colt, .45 cal. For reference, this cartridge generates 930 fps and about 475 ft/lbs of energy.

About twice that power would be necessary.

In contrast, the 360 grain bullets made for the Smith and Wesson 460 by Buffalo Bore generate 1,900 feet per second of velocity and 2,900 ft/lbs of energy.

Instantly fragmenting half of someone's head is easily viable with this kind of power.

Yeah, with a more modern weapon the damage would be easily possible. Battler is probably aware that the rifles chambered in .45 Long Colt could not destroy half of a human head. If he has given it any thought, he has probably decided a different, concealed or hidden weapon created the damages.

Though he is Japanese, and we know how much they know about guns, with the laws there.

I thought it was pretty clear that Ronove is supposed to be Genji, but the more I look at his profile, I begin to think that it might actually be a toss-up between Gohda as well. The whole Ronove/Ronoue deal, and the fact that he's essentially Kinzo's right-hand man leads me to think it's Genji, but his profile description about baking delicious cookies and being of high acclaim by working under previous households leads me towards Gohda. In addition, Ronove works under Beatrice. If you're going with the whole Beatrice = Jessica theory, it makes a bit of sense considering it's Krauss's side of the family that hired Gohda.

If you go with the whole idea that the Seven stakes that killed the black suits was actually Juuza sniping, here's some ideas.

The damage from Juuza's gun is shown to be able to do the same damage found in the murders on Rokkenjima. Don't know how old that gun is.

Parallels to the first twilight. 6 people killed.

Siesta's bow is considered sniping equipment that blew off half the faces of people on Rokkenjima.

Juuza is shown to drift between different agencies, and has sniping abilities, as demonstrated.

There's also the previously mentioned possible link to Kyrie.

>>2741257

If you're suggesting that Juuza was at Rokkenjima during that time, that still leaves the problem of having only 17 people on Rokkenjima.

Actually, I think there may be a possibility that Juuza may have been Ange's killer in Ep. 4. It seems way too odd that Kasumi seemed to have gotten off of the hook, even though she'd really have no place to hide from Juuza. Actually, maybe Kasumi really did get killed by Juuza as well (because honestly, I'm not going to trust that the credits would list every person that died outside of the "main" characters), and Juuza, having some sort of tie to Kyrie, might be able to claim some of the vast wealth of the Ushiromiyas.

What I'm still wracking my brain over is Battler's sin. Since it was stated his sin is tied to the start of all this, and seeing as how Beato got butthurt that he didn't remember what it was, it's obvious that she IS tied to it in some way, even if Beatrice is not. This is why the blue is such a double edged sword. It lets Battler get away with hole-filled theories as long as Beatrice doesn't counter them with the red. In other words, it lets Beatrice give up, but of course even if that would bring Battler back, it would teach him the real truth or give him a complete victory like he wants.
