Np. I'm not sure how new it is, but the 783's orange livery was added relatively recently. It operates the express service to and from a theme park called Huis-Ten Bosch, which is a really neat place if you ever have a chance to visit. The previous livery on it was pic related.

I might be wrong, but I believe they are used on multiple different express services. The sets used on the Huis-Ten Bosch service will all be in either orange or green with the Huis-Ten Bosch branding, the rest will be in different liveries. If I remember right, the green sets are technically the Midori service and branded as such, which runs combined to Huis-Ten Bosch from Sasebo and then splits and continues on.

kek, the coments section is quite amusing. from the japanese mindset, some of them treat being railroad nerd/iron otaku as criminal, a cockroach or an inconvience/burden to society because they interrupt, trespass, destroy property. one says even hostage a child, cuts down a cherry tree, pulls out a stake on the railroad track to destroy eqmt, fights in a swearing battle, puts water on the rice field. but a few say not to generalize it. others don't give a damn.

11 years is only an average, but I've also never heard anything of the solar cycle's role in storm seasons. I can't see it affecting only a single season given the relative time scales involved. Even the climate related theories regarding solar cycles are not based on a single cycle but rather a succession of cycles featuring of higher or lower than normal activity such as the Maunder Minimum.

Here's the current state of some cameras I checked out while eating.

Osaka Dotonbori - It is looking slightly down and to the left now, with a view of the street level. Some people chilling out in conversation, fall clothing and light jackets except for the businessmen leaving work.
Osaka WakuWaku Land shop - Slow day, except for the lunch hour. The scenery is worse than usual, with the usual stage replaced by more merchandise stands and a big ol' noodle bowl shelf obscuring view of the other aisle.
Cafe Cahaya - Already dark there despite it being 6pm, and going back in footage it looks like the entire day was gloomy with enough wind to chop up the water's surface but no rain.
Fukushima street - Traffic with ugly vans, ugly kei cars, and nothing of note.
Fukuoka Ohori park - Lovely green lighting down by the waterside, and the operator panned up to the setting sun, then used its impressive zoom to show ducks playing in the water while people strolled past.

Time's always pissing me off. I was cleaning out my hard drive of shit I remember saving, I remember what music was playing when I saw it even, and the timestamp is 4-5 years ago or more. All of this is just flitting by. It makes me realize that due to disease I'm not going to live past 60 or so at best, and I've used half of that still with so much to do and see, so I've been getting commitment issues with projects that I feel are sucking away too many hours.

My cam watching only started in 2018, with this image being one of the earliest available. I have never been able to properly explain my fixation, but I'm determined to visit Ueda one day and make a detour out to this pond.
