I've always had this idea for a VN about that.

Mankind and machines (human shaped, like vocaloids) are at war. The MC finds a machine girl pilot shot down on the outskirts of the town and brings her home to try to fix her. The girl is initially very tsuntsun but have no choice but to play along as the guy's robot waifu in order to avoid capture from the military police in town. Eventually feelings develope.
