I'm trying to move back to Japan (specifically Okinawa). I'm in the military and I enjoyed as much of the island as I possibly could in two years. Its time to go back to the place that I can call home.

Any ideas on how I can do this?

This question was better brought to /trv/ where it belonged in the first place. The only real reason for /jp/'s existance is to contain VNs, Touhou, and other misc shit that causes problems in other boards. I have lived around many military bases.
Shit is SHIT.
The areas around them are filled with drug dealers, prostitutes, sleazy bars, and strip bars.
Only time that wasn't really the case was when I was in Germany and that was mainly because it was older military guys and their families, and then their kids were shitheads.

Sadly, yes, people believe that shit. Its always blown way out of proportion by the media. The crime rate by military vs civilians is almost always much lower than civilians vs civilians or military vs military.
