So, I'm playing Melty Blood, doing fine in all of my fights, until I run into one "G-Akiha." I mean, what the hell? Drill hands? near imperviousness to attack? Is there some strategy I need here, some weak point to attack for massive damage? Help, /jp/!

and, after getting beaten once without returning to the title screen before the final blow, I replay the fight, and get this. It was a survivable fight, but then I got looped back to the beginning of the story.

It has been a while since I played story mode, but, oh well.

First, aim for her head. If you're having difficulty in hitting her while not being hit back, don't connect attacks, try to chip off her health with single 5B or 5C midair attacks.

Second, try to switch places with her as much as possible. A successful jump behind her fist before she drills you makes her highly vulnerable. Capitalize that chance.

Third, if you're going for story mode, play ReAct.

She's a parody of Apocalypse from Marvel vs. Streetfighter.

Also, Nasu and French Bread loved the Marvel games (and their simple learning curve) so they were the main inspiration for Melty Blood's gameplay.
