Uh so, it has just been confirmed that virtual waifu simulator shown at the E3 press conference yesterday will indeed have a loli character called Milly. I understand that quite a number on anon on /jp/ were put off by the shota character...

Sauce:http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/e3-project-natals-molyneux-and-milo-interview?page=2

>Your character doesn't have to be a boy, it can be a girl. At the start you can choose whether to be play as Milly or Milo.

The creator also mentions the potential for porn games with this advanced technology in the interview.

>Eurogamer: My colleague pointed out that if it was a 17 year-old acrobat, instead of things like 'Have you done your homework?' you could say, 'Will you take your bra off?'

>Peter Molyneux: Yeah, you could do. You could make a great porn game with this stuff, that's absolutely for sure. But I'd love the idea that you've got this character who you are inspiring. It is such a wonderful feeling that to inspire anything, whether it's a dog or a person or a kid. When you see and feel that emotion, it's pretty emotional.

Only this part got me intrigued since loli Milly is probably too tame to do anything /jp/ want's it to do.

"...What happens," says Molyneux in the post, "is that we strive to include absolutely everything we've ever dreamt of and, in my enthusiasm, I talk about it to anyone who'll listen, mainly in press interviews. When I tell people about what we're planning, I'm telling the truth, and people, of course, expect to see all the features I've mentioned.

"And when some of the most ambitious ideas get altered, redesigned or even dropped, people rightly want to know what happened to them."

He continues: "If I have mentioned any feature in the past which, for whatever reason, didn't make it as I described into Fable, I apologise. Every feature I have ever talked about was in development, but not all made it. Often the reason is that the feature did not make sense.

He is a stinking cheat and made gamers who fueled the hype in his games look like fools.

>> No.2697848

Nobody cares because it will take easily 10 years for Software to use these features in an intelligent way. If ever this means as this guy never made anything worthwhile so far.
AI technology is still not pwerful enough for this kind of interaction and the dev costs woud be way too costly for mass market production. In the end you will get Wii like bastardization of wannabe VR technology with scripted events and limited interaction only which is why the majority of the devs will hesitate to implement this stuff. Why should they raise their costs for literally childs play?

ITT: PETER GO TO SLEEP ALREADY.

And btw, with the western world in decline we will never see this kind of technology in our lifes anyway.

Well, Molyneux mostly causes his own hype. And it tends to work; the man knows how to promote his games extremely well.

Are his games ever outstanding? Not really. But he sure knows how to market them. And he's working his magic again this E3.

>> No.2697881

As much as I'd love it, I'd have to agree, this will either never see the light of day or it'll be a shell of what was promised.

>> No.2697903

i doubt we'll see effects of this nature going mainstream any time soon, but in a few years like >>2697848 said we may see a few specialty products popping up.
if i'm not mistaken there was already a japanese company who was working on a small part of what was shown here, namely a program working with a camera mounted on the monitor that would follow your gaze and change the direction on the screen as well.
Maybe in 20 years or so something like this will become the next generation interactive screens for television, computers, ect.

the only real major concern i would think is that it would be oh so easy to get lost in such a product. present day technology is already doing such a good job of it, something like this could bring about the equivalent of getting lost in a VR world.

i'd dive in head first incidentally.
