Do you regret ever getting into Touhou, /jp/?
I've noticed Anonymous always tells newfags looking to start to stay clear of it, but is he talking to his former self, or just trying to keep the fandom (relatively) small?

Personally, I no longer know why I get angry when I see people ask "what is Touhou". Trolling them away has just become second nature to me.

>> No.2695964

I'm not sure what there is to 'regret'.

Anyways, here's a mostly unrelated question: are the powerup/bomb systems in SA and UFO the same as they are in MOF?

>> No.2695965

What an obnoxiously stupid premise on which to ask a question.
If you like and enjoy Touhou there will be no regrets, even if later you move away from it.
If you liked and enjoyed Touhou but came to feel shame or hate it because of other people then you are the regrettable factor.

I never got into touhou.

No regrets.

huge deja-vu for this thread...

I like playing the games, what is there to regret.

>> No.2695979

I regret nothing, I've learned lots of things that I find amusing.
But then again, I'm a canon elitist.

People like and enjoy smoking, but regret the fact that they now find it much harder to quit the addiction and has at times alienated them from their former acquaintances.

nope

You just equated Touhou to a chemical/mental addiction.

Silly anon, you're on /jp/!
What, are you some kinda living paradox?

This and general trolling. It's pretty understandable how people can become frustrated by the constant "what is Touhou?/how do I get into Touhou?" threads. I mean seriously, what a dumb fucking question to ask.

>> No.2696060

Regret nothing.
Try not to force it down anyone's throat, but if they're already interested I like to explain them more of the games. That way most of the people that got hooked by secondary works learn of the source.
Not that I'm any good at it anyway.
