Arm protection can be handy, given that in a pitch battle those are things most exposed to weaponry and if you lose the use of your weapon arm you've pretty much already lost the fight.

Having finished it my opinion is that it is not nearly as good as Odin Sphere.

Will reserve my final opinion on it until the US release comes out to understand the story and the finer points of the cooking system. The story was alot of what made Odin Sphere rock in my opinion.

Yes, it would. If you're using armour effectively you're using it actively, seeking out your opponent's weapon, and at that point you don't actually need much coverage, as long as you're skilled enough.

It could be used to seduce guys and leave them defenseless giving the girl(cause I don't think any guy would wear it unless he's a cross dresser or a homosexual. Actually, not even homosexuals would wear those.) a bit more advantage. So it depends on what kind of fights you're talking about. If against an opponent who is a women,someone who don't care about a girls body, or if the guy is gay, then it wouldn't help much except for the fact that she would have more mobility then when she wear an entire suit of armor. If against men and if they are sex fiends then it's the ultimate defense.

Well yeah, a major part of Odin Sphere was the way the story pulled everything together.

Also, I'm pretty sure Japanese Audio is confirmed just like in Odin Sphere. So it should be awesome.
