Can anyone recommend truly Touhou-like danmaku games? I enjoy Touhou's gameplay, but I kind of hit a wall after PCB Lunatic and I'm not very knowledgeable about shooters. What I'm looking for is

1. Patterns should be dodged without heavy memorization or too many tricks, one or two plays should give you an idea how to handle most patterns. I love Darius for its enemies, but damn beating that sperm whale final boss involves just tapping up and down for ten minutes. Seihou is a major offender with its rampant "haha take my super fast bullets you die now" as well.
2. Preferably small hitbox, homing or semi-homing character(s) is a plus.
3. I don't own any consoles, so I'm limited to PC games.

It's a vertical and horizontal shooter, depending on the level you're currently playing. You have three different types of weapons at your disposal: straight shot, wide shot and lock-on laser. There are also some bonus stages, like in that pic for example where you need to shoot down as many missiles as you can. Other than that, it's your typical bullet hell shooter with big space ships and/or mecha bosses.

get MAME and all Cave games, also try some shmups from other developers but Cave games are the most similar to touhou
Blue Wish resurrection plus is also good
if your PC is any good you can emulate ps2 which gives you access to Dodonpachi Daioujou
